Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Star Prize

England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a record-breaking innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year.
The three contenders were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.
The ceremony will be aired from 19:00 GMT.
Michelle Agyemang
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being on the shortlist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.
He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.
"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Perrin's Profile

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young women to get into cricket."
