Lautaro Martínez Double Keeps Inter on Tail of Frontrunners
Inter striker Lautaro Martínez scored a late double to earn his side a 2-0 win at Pisa, keeping the away side very much involved in the Italian league title race in spite of a less than convincing performance.

However, they were made to battle throughout by newly-promoted Pisa. The hosts generated numerous opportunities, but a clinical Inter scored the opener in the 69th minute when Argentinian Martínez drilled a first-time shot into the top of the net. The attacker then finished from close range seven minutes from time.

Across in Spain, Real Sociedad mounted a thrilling fightback from 2-0 down to level at home against Villarreal, only to lose to a late strike five minutes into stoppage time. The visitors’ scoring came from Ayoze Pérez just after the 30-minute mark and Alberto Moleiro in the 57th minute, but Carlos Soler quickly pulled one back and Ander Barrenetxea equalised three minutes from time. Yet, Moleiro had the last word deep into added time.
Later on La Liga match, Real Madrid travel to Girona requiring a victory to return to the top ahead of Barcelona, who recorded a 3-1 triumph over Alavés on Saturday.
