Recent details have emerged about the tragic demises of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence property on Sunday.

As detailed in an account referencing a confidential source, a therapist scheduled for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the home. This individual then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

Upon entering the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Following this, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of murder in the first degree, including the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently in custody and denied bail.

The anonymous source challenged several previously reported details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the family home. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
